A week into social distancing. It seems to be working – the rate of new infections in Hamburg is slowing down. It’s amazing how quickly you adjust to a new routine – this is my new normal, and it feels like more than a week has gone by.
Day 2 of social distancing (because that’s what it is, we’re not officially in quarantine) was harder than the first. I didn’t want to get out of bed, my muscles ached from my jog the day before, and I hadn’t slept long enough so I was tired.
The number of COVID-19 (more commonly known as coronavirus) cases in Germany is growing. The curve is on the upswing, and it’s getting steeper. The situation is changing quickly, and in just a few days, coronavirus has gone from a bit of a running joke (at least in my office) to a serious fear. Continue reading “The Quarantine Diaries: Day 1”
