On a man’s 25th birthday, if he isn’t married yet, he and his buddies go out and get hammered, then chuck a bunch of cinnamon at him. Nobody I’ve talked to seems to know why, how this tradition got started or why it’s still a thing.
I witnessed the aftermath of such a fest while visiting a friend at another dorm one day.

While strange, it’s not (in my opinion) the worst of the Danish traditions. When you turn 30 and still aren’t married, then they throw pepper at you.
